Metals Engineering is an established leader in industrial heat treatment services, dedicated to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and motivated CNC Machining Operator to join our team.
Position Overview
The Machining Technician will be responsible for maintaining production machines, measuring parts for conformity, and ensuring consistent quality output. Training will be provided.
Weekend Shift – Friday to Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (3 twelve-hour days; work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Inspect and measure completed production units to identify defects.
- Start or restart equipment after power outages or interruptions.
- Maintain a safe and orderly production area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Has CNC machining experience.
- Strong understanding of or ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to demonstrate a logical, detailed, and disciplined approach to equipment operation.
- Commitment to teamwork, supporting team members across shifts and locations.
- Willingness to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Machining experience preferred but not required (training provided).
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to operate and maintain machines.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
